International Program

International Program

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This program explores the shifting global order and the forces reshaping international politics, security, and economics. As established power structures are tested – by strategic realignments, global instability, technological disruption, and the growing influence of new partnerships and actors – we aim to clarify Israel’s strategic environment and the choices it faces.

Grounded in a global perspective, the program examines key arenas and relationships shaping Israel’s strategic landscape: the United States and Europe; the Indo-Pacific as a growing center of geopolitical and economic gravity; China’s expanding influence; and India’s rising role as a pivotal power. We systematically assess how these dynamics influence Israel’s national security and foreign policy priorities.

“To introduce a strategic, long-term dimension to India–Israel relations, Israel must establish a joint committee, to be chaired by the National Security Advisors of both countries.”

“All UN personnel should be required to undergo a vetting process that rules out affiliation with Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and any other terrorist organization recognized by the State of Israel (e.g., IHH). In addition, an oversight mechanism and repeat screening of UN personnel – at a minimum at senior and mid-level management– should be implemented to ensure they are not involved in, or providing support to, terrorist organizations.”

"Israel’s image is ‘high-risk’ due to its association with past wars in the Middle East. Although Israel is quite popular among an overwhelming majority of the MAGA movement, in some cases it may be perceived as drawing the United States into an undesirable escalation in the Middle East – potentially eroding the sympathetic sentiment toward it."

"The formation of Germany’s new government presents an opportunity to advance shared Israeli–German interests and to upgrade bilateral relations – on the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.”

RECENTLY IN THE MEDIA

“Asia now embodies the growth engines, stability, and pragmatic openness that Europe previously represented for Israel. Beyond trade, Asia offers a culturally distinct but highly efficient partnership model based on mutual interests. " (19.1.26)

Roni Yacobi

"The EU’s initiation of a process to suspend Israel – at this stage, from one component of the Horizon Europe agreements – should deeply concern elected officials, the country’s academic institutions, and in fact all of us. Horizon is far more than a funding program; it is a critical platform for networking, international collaboration, exposure to breakthrough knowledge, and access to hundreds of research institutions and laboratories across Europe and beyond.” (4.8.25)

Dan Yacchin & Dr. Michal Radoshitzky

“The numbers plainly show that Hamas militias, who still comprise the strongest armed actors in the Gaza Strip, loot huge quantities of the humanitarian aid sent from the international community to the people of Gaza.” (5.8.25)

Dr.Michal Hatuel Radoshitzky

“As a small country that relies on international ties, Israel seeks to avoid confrontation with global powers and must navigate carefully between competing interests. At the same time, Israel must not form partnerships that could jeopardize its special relationship with the United States or further undermine its already weakened standing vis-à-vis Europe.” (4.6.25)
