EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES PROGRAM

Emerging Technologies Program

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Emerging Technologies Program aims to bring the tech space into the national security discourse and bridge between the public and private sectors. It seeks to create thought leadership on emerging technologies – AI, Quantum, Biotech, New Space, Defense and Climatech among others – and how they contribute to Israel’s geopolitical standing. We form public policy around the nexus of these strategic technologies and national security, helping drive cross-sector collaboration between the Israeli tech ecosystem and government and by strengthening tech partnerships with allies globally.

The team works closely with partners in Israel and abroad to achieve these goals and create thought leadership and influence. Most prominently the team published a ‘Geo-tech Roadmap for Israel’ creating a strategic framework for the program and for Israeli decision makers to infuse technology into Israeli national security thinking.

"Initiatives for Private-to-Private dialogues on S&T should be encouraged, as they provide not only a complementary track to the governmental one, but also means for expediting it and, perhaps, bulletproofing it from political disturbances."

“What will the Middle East look like in 2040? One vision, shared by America’s allies, sees the cradle of civilization becoming the sandbox for tomorrow’s critical technologies. In this narrative, a U.S.-led economic corridor stretching from Delhi to the Mediterranean would enhance regional integration, and usher in a new era of shared prosperity.” (31.3.25)

Amos Yadlin & Avner Golov

"There is considerable American suspicion regarding Israel’s willingness to demonstrate seriousness in preventing the leakage of knowledge and technologies to China." (19.2.25)

“We are in a period marked by a series of technological revolutions. While in the past a single technological revolution would often influence the global order, here we are witnessing a series of very powerful, very novel technologies maturing almost simultaneously.” (11.2.25)
